"As the solar wind travels away from the Sun at supersonic speeds, roughly 1 million miles per hour, eventually it encounters incoming interstellar neutral gas particles entering the heliosphere," she said.

Meanwhile, the Australian Space Agency has identified mysterious metallic spheres found on a northeastern Australian beach as likely space debris from a foreign rocket body. The agency is investigating the incident in conjunction with authorities in Queensland and the National Emergency Management Agency.
