The United States Women's National Team (USWNT) delivered a powerful statement in their opening game of the 2026 SheBelieves Cup against Paraguay, securing a convincing 6-0 win on Saturday. Two goals from Ally Sentnor, alongside a goal from debutante Trinity Rodman, highlighted an impressive second-half display that saw the team crush their opponents.
Trinity Rodman, who recently signed a contract with the Washington Spirit, marked her first appearance for the USWNT by contributing to the team's goal tally. Her efforts, coupled with Ally Sentnor's brace, created a comfortable lead for the USWNT before half-time. Croix Bethune and Emma Sears also added to the team's goal count in the second half.
Captaining the team in the absence of regular captain Becky Sauerbrunn, Trinity's father, Clint Rodman, saw his daughter make her national team debut. Rodman, who had been sidelined due to injuries, returned to the field and even managed to score in the 70th minute, adding to the team's tally.
Reilyn Turner, another newcomer in the squad, also had a memorable debut. She netted her first international goal in the 52nd minute, just five minutes after being introduced as a substitute. Turner's goal capped off an excellent team performance, as the USWNT continued to dominate the game and leave Paraguay struggling to keep up.
With their impressive start to the SheBelieves Cup, the USWNT will now turn their attention to their next match against Chile on Tuesday. The team will be looking to maintain their form and continue their winning streak as they aim for another successful tournament.
