The US Department of Justice (DoJ) made a significant release of files related to the late convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein, on Friday, January 31, 2026. The release included more than three million pages, 2,000 videos, and 180,000 images, making it the largest document dump since the passage of a law last year requiring the government to release any information in its possession concerning Epstein (The Guardian, 2026). The documents shed light on Epstein's inner circle, naming several prominent figures.

Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, is among the notable names mentioned in the documents. Prince Andrew had previously denied allegations of sexual misconduct with Virginia Giuffre, who claimed she was trafficked by Epstein.
